Girl Power!

I think I've come up with a reasonable explanation when people*COUGHmenCOUGH* find the need to question my gender origination.  But first let me state that I feel in a civil society, something like that should never come up in every day conversation because frankly my or anyone elses gender origination doesn't fucking matter. It's when people need to 'accuse' or 'assume' someone's sexual preference that I cry foul. Thus is the case that happened to me a few days ago.

I was accused of being a lesbian by... let's say... a male associate of mine, because of my, quote "tomboy routine". When pressed to further explain himself, he avoided giving me a straight answer. When I pushed more, he finally blurted out "Well, you turned me down."

STOP RIGHT THERE.

Just because I turn someone's sexual advances down, that makes me gay?? WHAT THE FUCK?

So, I've been wracking my brain about this for the past few days and here's my best explanation for this assumption. This male associate of mine is the type of 'man' that feels the need to be in control of e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. Has answer for everything. Can take care of anything, and is generally a self-proclaimed master of the universe. So when a female like me comes along that basically will stand up to this man who has never had a woman stand up to him before, he becomes at first, sexually threatened by a dominant woman but than intrigued.

When this 'master of the universe' type gets turned down, the only logical expiation(and best way to heal his bruised ego) is that I am a lesbian.

NOPE. I'm just a no bullshit, independent, LIBERATED, woman. I'm not going to put up with anyone's self-inflated, undeserved ego.

Real men find strong women sexy.
